Specialties
Anxiety
We work with individuals experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, and stress.
Relationships
We work with individuals
experiencing issues in their relationships. These relationships can be romantic, family, or friend. We will work to understand your expectations, how you communicate your needs, and how to set healthy boundaries.
Self Esteem
We work with individuals who are looking to improve their self
esteem by reducing judgment, challenging negative thought patterns, and exploring beliefs about themselves and how they fit into the world.
Trauma
Most of us have experienced trauma at some point in our lives. How trauma manifests itself is highly individualized and unique. We work with our clients who have experienced trauma to restore their sense of trust and safety in themselves and others, work with our clients to reduce their hypervigilance, explore the impact of trauma on their functioning, and redefine what healing looks like. We recognize that how a trauma is processed in itself is a key role to healing and restoring safety and work closely with our clients to go at their pace.
Eating Disorders
Our relationships with food and our bodies can be complex. We recognize the importance of understanding societal impacts along with the unique and individualized beliefs individuals form about their bodies and their relationship with food. We have therapists that are experienced in supporting folks that range from body image concerns to diagnosed eating disorders.
Depression
We work with individuals with depressive symptoms ranging from mild to severe such as experiencing low mood, low motivation, decreased
pleasure and feelings of hopelessness.
Life Transition
Some of the most exciting changes in our lives can often bring on anxiety, stress, and adjustment issues. We work to support clients who are experiencing life transitions, such as moving, entering/exiting relationships, starting new jobs, etc.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
OCD is still highly stigmatized and doesn't always present how you think it might. It is often misdiagnosed as anxiety. We incorporate elements of ERP, ACT, and CBT to work with clients to help identify how uncertainty exacerbates OCD. We teach clients how to identify ruminations, intrusive thoughts, reassurance seeking behaviors, and compulsive behaviors.
Grief
It is the human experience that at some point or another, we will all know loss in our life. Some losses are more significant than others. Some losses are more complex than others. How each of us responds to loss may vary depending on who we lost and the type of relationship we had with that person (or pet!). We work with our clients to move through grief at their own pace while feeling supported and understood.
Chronic Illness
We work with folks to help manage the challenges, stigma, and uncertainty that is often associated with living with a chronic illness. We utilize IFS, ACT, mindfulness, and Somatic Based interventions working with folks with Chronic Illness.
